At Rainbow's End
Love everyone.

Your car is Japanese. Your vodka is Russian. Your pizza is Italian. Your kebab is Turkish. Your democracy is Greek. Your coffee is Brazilian. Your movies are American. Your beers are German. Your shirt is Indian. Your oil is Saudi Arabian. Your electronics are Chinese. Your numbers, Arabic, your letters, Latin; and you complain that your neighbor is an immigrant?! Get it together! It’s time to start loving people, and looking past the skin.

The next time you hear the word “gay” and think “glitter” or vice versa, remember that you saw this video.

True beauty.

We live in a society obsessed with attaining physical perfection. And there is something to be said for beauty; recognizing it is fine. But what we must always remember is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. The next time you see a man staring into the eyes of his two-hundred-pound, flat-footed, short-haired fiancé, don’t mock. Don’t make fun. She is beautiful to him because one day, she is going to be the mother of his children, and she is the reason he can carry on every morning, even when there seems to be no reason to live. And when you see the one girl in a line of dancers auditioning in hand-me-down bright blue shoes from the 80’s, don’t jeer. Applaud her for her courage, and for her willingness to be an individual. Individuality is what makes us beautiful; nonconformity shows us who the true stars are. Beauty is only skin-deep; but the truly beautiful people are the ones who inspire us to change for the better as people, and the ones who make this world a better place for everyone to live.

This is how I see the world, and hopefully the eyes through which we will all see one day. For peace to come, we must learn to love the human race.

Hello world. :)

I suppose it’s about time I addressed you in more than quotes. :) Hello. My name will remain anonymous for this blog, so know that in advance. If you must call me something, you may address me as August Blue. I am a bisexual teenage male with a major preference for males who is just trying to get through life, as we all are. My family does not accept me at all, and a lot of the talk on my blog will be about equality and sexuality. However, you’ll also find a lot of life advice and inspirational quotes here. This will be a depository for my inner thoughts, for current events, and for anything I deem worthy of blogging. :) I’m a lot of fun, and I can almost guarantee you’ll want to keep up with me. ;)

So strap in, kids. You’re in for quite the ride.

I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”.

Remember: when you point the finger, there are three pointing back at you. Never judge anyone, because we’re all flawed human beings just trying to get to the next best place we can

Love has made me so crazy. I’ve said stuff, done stuff, thought stuff that I never dreamed I would. I never thought I’d know what it’s like to have another person invade your thoughts every second of every day and to love it. I never thought I would want to spend the rest of my life with someone. I never thought a song would make me suddenly long to hear someone’s voice. I never thought I’d have the sudden urge to run away with that person and kiss them softly in the rain. I never for a moment thought I could love with all my heart… but now I know I can.
None other than myself.
When you have to deal with mean and hateful people, just think of them as sandpaper. They may scratch you and rub you the wrong way, but in the end you’ll be smooth and polished… as for the sandpaper… it’s just gonna be worn out and ugly,
And it’s funny the things you realize when someone walks away. At first, you feel as though it’s your fault. Feeling empty, and so close to falling apart. And then in time, you come to the realization that you did nothing wrong. That it’s his loss, that you are so much better without that one person who didn’t ever care. You live and you’ll learn, that’s how it is.

Think how many people have sat next to you on a bus, train, whatever. Now think how many people have sat next to you on purpose, with their fingers crossed in the hope that you’ll talk to them. I’m sure somebody has. There have been plenty of times when somebody’s seen you and hoped that you spoke to them, but you never did, ‘cause you don’t have the guts, and neither do they. Don’t go around thinking nobody likes you and that you’re not loved, because there’ve been plenty of times when a stranger’s spotted you and thought, “Oh, they’re just my type,” but haven’t had the courage or confidence to open their mouth and initiate a conversation, because the funny thing is, neither have you.

A very good friend of mine.

I love you KMC. <3
